acaba de editar su primer disco “Just ‘cause you got the monkey off your
back doesn’t mean the circus has left town”, y viene a presentarlo a
España los días 25 y 26 abriendo para Blues
Pills y Kadavar.

disco.

‘cause you got the monkey off your back doesn’t mean the circus has left town”
THE INTERVIEW
The songs of Stray Train
sounds like an elegant Rock where I can detect Blues, Hard Rock. A mix of
styles that results on the personal sound of your music. But, what are really
your musical influences?
Well, each one of us has its own
idols…from ZZ Top ‘till Guns ‘n’ Roses. Probably that is the reason that our
music sounds as it sounds.
Only a year on the road and an album in the market, how has it been this first year life of the band?
So far it is been fantastic. We came together like year and a half ago, composed, recorded and released our first record and now we are touring whole Europe as part off great package. What more can we ask for? :)
What's your inspiration when making your songs?
Musically
it happens without any plan. It is just five of us jammin’ in our band room.
Lyrically it is about life and own experiences.
Are you completed your expectations with your
first album “Just ‘cause you got the
monkey off your back doesn’t mean the circus has left town”? What do
you expect from this album?
We did not
have any expectations when we made record. So it is now. We would just like to
play for as many people as possible.
What do we will see and enjoy in your live concerts?
You will see band that loves what it
does. It is honest, it is raw and with lot of passion and love for what we do.
Is this your first time in Spain? What do you think about the Spanish
crowd? What do expect from them?
Yes, it is our first time in Spain.
We do not think anything at the moment since we never played for Spanish crowd
but we do expect them to be passionate and to have that temperament that Spain
is known for.
What are your plans for this current year 2016 and next 2017? We assume that you will touring around clubs and festivals. Can you advance anything to us? Any important event?
After this tour we will concentrate on making our next record. We are half way through composing process and will record it in February 2017. Album release is set for June 2017 and we will for sure do small spring tour in 2017 and play some summer festivals. Bigger tour for autumn 2017 is also in making.
Do you think the digital world will end with music as we know it today?
What do you think is the future of music?
Hard question…digital has its own
benefits. I do not see it as evil future of music is same as it always
was…bands has to make good music and try to break new grounds. Simple as that.
What is your best memory about music?
Hearing Black Sabbath for the first
time.
How is a normal day in the life of a member of Stray Train?
Well I think it is different for
every band member. My day is all about music, whether as festival promoter or
as stray train member I am into music 24/7.
What do you think about the current economic and social situation in
Spain, Europe and in the World in general?
Have no opinion on that. I am trying
to keep myself out of things that I have no influence on solver.
