THE INTERVIEW
Your songs sound like intensive and elegant
Rock and Glam from the 70s, with a bit of Hard Rock and Blues and Punk. A great
mix of styles that results on the fantastic sound of your music now. So, what
really are your musical influences?
Well, everything from the 1950's to the 1970's,
from Elvis to the Stones and everything in between.
Next year marks 35 years since Tyla’s Dogs
D'Amour began as a band at 1983. In 1984 you edited your first album “The State
We're In”. Much has changed in your life, really? What is the difference
between the music of Tyla’s Dogs D'Amour today and your music 35 years ago?
Well hopefully I play and sing and write a bit
better from back then when I was a very drunken 23 year old.
You have edited your last LP titled "Swinging The Bottles - The BBC Radio
Sessions" in this year 2017. What do you expect from this new album?
TYLA: It’s not really a new album it was recorded in
1988. But I hope it sells well! There will be a new Tyla Dogs album coming soon
titled......'In Vino Veritas'
What do we will see and enjoy in your live
concerts for next tour around Spain?
Great songs and a great night out with a great
band!
What are your plans for this year 2017 and next
2018? We assume that you will touring around clubs and festivals. Can you
advance anything to us? Any important event?
Very busy as usual not only with music but
also my art and film work.
Do you think the digital world will end with
music as we know it today? What do you think is the future of music?
No not at all Cds, tapes and vinyls still sell
well, people want to hold and smell and feel the real thing.
What is your best memory about music?
That it has kept me alive.
How is a normal day in the life of a member of Tyla’s
Dogs D'Amour?
It’s never a normal day, so hard to describe
always different.
What do you think about the current economic
and social situation in Spain, U.K., Europe, U.S.A. and World in general?
Well, it’s never really changed the rich get
rich and the poor just stay that way. But then it’s the people that vote for
these fools and then complain. what would happen if absolutley no one voted because
they just thought all politicians are liars and thieves, a revolution of the
poepl is required, but then people are liars and thieves too eh?
