unas referencias obvias como Pixies, The
Cure, The Clash y Arcade Fire.
Así llega su primer álbum In Love with Detail (2007),
o “The
Rules”.

DELORENTOS
Night Becomes Light (2014)
conformando You Can Make Sound (Delorecords 2009), que acabo llegando al número
Sparks 2012.
estrellas.
THE INTERVIEW
Delorentos's songs
sound like an elegant Rock and sophisticated pop. A mix of styles that results
on the personal sound of your music. But, what are really your musical
influences?
Thank you, I think when we started we sounded
very much like a mix of our influences, and now we have matured we try to sound
more like ourselves. We have lots of different influences, but it's usually
passionate, melodic, alternative music. We lock ourselves away in our isolated
practice space and try to get inspiration from everywhere! Mostly we listen to
Abba records.
Last year marked 10
years since you formed in 2005. What is the difference between the music of
Delorentos today and your music 10 years ago?
I think we know a little more about the world
now and hopefully that is reflected in the music. Also we are secretly
millionaires now.
What's your inspiration when making your songs?
I think we want to make music that connects
with people - like an essential arcade fire album or Radiohead or any album
that makes you feel something. We also want to eventually have action figures
of ourselves that have oversized muscles.
Are you completed your expectations with Night Becomes Light? When a new album?
We're
writing new songs now, but there is still lots of life in Night Becomes Light -
we are releasing in Germany, UK and The Netherlands this year and we're just
back from Mexico! We're very proud that this music has spread so much, and
we're trying to write the most honest and interesting music we can for a new
album.
What do we will see
and enjoy in your live concerts?
We will speak Spanish badly and play music very
well. People will hopefully react positively to both!
This is not your first
time in Spain. What do you think about the Spanish crowd? What do expect from
them?
They are very open and like the Irish - they
like the sun and a drink and to sing. What more do you need?
What are your plans
for this current year 2016 and next 2017? We assume that you will touring
around clubs and festivals. Can you advance anything to us? Any important
event? When new songs?
Everything is coming - we have a lot of touring
to plan and songs to finish. It's hard work, but it's better work than working
in a coal mine.
Do you think the digital world will end with music as we know it today? What do you think is the future of music?
Do you think the digital world will end with music as we know it today? What do you think is the future of music?
The
future of music is that songs will be written by machines and performed by
robots and everything will sound the same on the radio. Oh! No, that's music
right now! :)
What is your best
memory about music?
I saw a beautiful girl at a gig in New York a
few years ago, now I get to see her everyday. :}
How is a normal day in
the life of a member of Delorentos band?
It's good, like every other musician we are
trying to create and figure out how to earn from our art. At the moment we
solve crimes and mysteries for the day and write songs at night. It can be
tiring, but it's a usual musicians life.
What do you think
about the current economic and social situation in Spain, Europe and in the
World in general?
It's a strange time - due to the Internet and
modern technology everyone knows that their government is lying to them all the
time, so it will be interesting to watch people rise up and try to change their
situation. Hopefully it leads to more equal societies and not to more unequal
ones.
